A lot has been said about the BMW X3 for 2008. As BMW's entry in the sport utility market the X3 (and in this case specically the 3.0si version) has maintained a solid reputation. The 4-door X3 is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect truck to help BMW as a brand in general.

The X3 3.0si is equipped with a BMW 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a ZF 6-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for BMW.

The fuel system for the 2008 X3 is a traditional Siemens MS 70, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 17.70 gallons.

The X3 uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The truck uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.
