Over at the BMW Blog they mention the X6 Hybrid is entering cold weather trials along with the soon-to-be-introduced X1. I for one am excited about the X6 Hybrid. BMW needs a decent hybrid lineup to be competitive in the near term. An X6 Hybrid would be an excellent show piece for them to run through different car magazine tests.
The X5 xDrive35d is equipped with a BMW 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a ZF 6-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for BMW.
The 2009 X3 is an important vehicle to BMW for the sport utility market segment. The xDrive30i is a member of a series of one trim levels for the X3 which include xDrive30i. The four-door truck with its all-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for BMW. There is strong competition from vehicles from Infiniti.
