There have been several award-winning trucks from BMW over the years, including the BMW X6 of 2009. There are two trim levels to the X6, including xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The xDrive50i version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2008 the popular 4.4 liter has made this a popular choice for sport utility buyers across the country.
The X6 xDrive35i is equipped with a BMW 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a ZF 6-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for BMW.
The 2008 X6 is an important vehicle to BMW for the sport utility market segment. The xDrive50i is a member of a series of two trim levels for the X6 which include xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The four-door truck with its all-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for BMW. There is strong competition from vehicles from Honda.
The X6 xDrive50i is equipped with a BMW 4.4 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a ZF 6-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for BMW.
