The 2008 BMW X6 xDrive35i was introduced to compete in the sport utility market. The xDrive35i is a member of a series of two trim levels for the X6 which include xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The four-door truck with its all-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for BMW. There is strong competition from vehicles from Kia.

Over at the BMW Blog they mention the X6 Hybrid is entering cold weather trials along with the soon-to-be-introduced X1.  I for one am excited about the X6 Hybrid.  BMW needs a decent hybrid lineup to be competitive in the near term.  An X6 Hybrid would be an excellent show piece for them to run through different car magazine tests.
