The xDrive35i version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2007 the popular 3.0 liter has made this a popular choice for sport utility buyers nationwide.

The 2008 BMW X6 xDrive35i was introduced to compete in the sport utility market. The xDrive35i is a member of a series of two trim levels for the X6 which include xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The four-door truck with its all-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for BMW. There is strong competition from vehicles from Kia.

The BMW X5 3.0i for 2002

BMW X5

The restyled X5 3.0i is equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a ZF five-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2001 version.

The restyled X5 xDrive48i is equipped with a 4.8-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a ZF six-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2008 version.
